Oberheim 2 Voice w/sequencer

Oberheim Two Voice for sale. This TVS-1 has been fully disassembled, cleaned inside and out and meticulously serviced over approximately 28 hours. It's in superb condition and working perfectly - we doubt you'll find a nicer one.

Here's a list of some of the work we did to this unit:
 
-Cleaned up inside and out.
-Rebuilt power supply: replaced electrolytic and tantalum caps, IC socket, trimpots.
-For some strange reason, this unit didn’t have a bandpass filter output and no LFO sync and no VCO sync output, so we added the resistors, caps, transistors ICs for those circuits to complete them.
-Replaced gate LEDs for SEM gates (2). 
-Disassembled keyboard. 
-Replaced all rubber bushings. 
-Cleaned and lubed J-wires and bus bar. 
-Cleaned keys.
-Replaced a couple MTA connectors. 
-CV2 output was no good so replaced IC (op amp 741).
-Recalibrated VCOs, VCFs, VCAs. 
-Added jacks to back patch panel and wired them, so this 2 voice now has the following: Top row, left to right: SEM2 cv in, SEM2 gate in, SEM1 cv in, SEM1 gate in
Bottom row, left to right: SEM2 VCF cv in, SEM1 VCF cv in, audio ext in #2 (noise SEM 1,2), mini sequencer clock in.
-Multiple systematic tests all passed.

The 2 voice is one of our favorite vintage synths. A single voice (called an SEM = Synthesizer Expander Module)  is surprisingly powerful, offering 2 oscillators, 2 envelopes (1 for filter, 1 for volume), an LFO, pulse width modulation and a SWEET multimode filter with sweepable mode (which few synths offered). This 2 voice has.... 2 voices, so you can play 4 oscillators per key for a nice fat sound. Nothing sounds like it to us and we have had played more synths than anyone we know. This is our personal favorite for musical analog sounds. The TVS can play up to 2 separate pitches at once.  Back in the day, this was impressive.
