Roland RS-202 For Sale. Vintage Analog String Synthesizer. Nice alternative to the popular ARP Solina SE-IV String Ensemble analog string synthesizer. The first time I played one, I couldn't believe how great it sounded. It's a simple instrument - there are brass, strings 1 and strings 2, with the ability to select which of these sounds is played in the lower and upper ranges of the keyboard. There's vibrato, a little bit of amplitude envelope control and the most valuable feature of them all...the ensemble effect. Modes 1, 2 and off. It's magical. Incredibly rich and turns what would otherwise be a thin sound into beautiful, warm, swirling sonic deliciousness.  And that's why you want one of these.
