The Casio AZ-1 is a lightweight MIDI remote controller keyboard, ideal for the keyboardist who wants to step out from in back of that rack of synths to be seen! Strap it on and you're ready to rock! There are no internal sounds, you have to MIDI this up to a synth with a MIDI in. This "keytar" is similar to the Korg RK-100, Lync LN-4, Roland AX-1b, Roland Axis, and Yamaha KX-5. Not only can you play keys, you can also select patches, turn portamento on and off, adjust portamento speed, switch between 2 midi channels with the push of a button, use pitch bend, mod wheel, shift octaves and more. Runs off a wallwart style power supply or 6 standard AA batteries. This is the same model featured in the music video for Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction".
