Back around the middle of last century, Harry Chamberlin and Joe Mellotron created primitive sample playback machines that played a tape strip of a pre-recorded sound every time a key was pressed. Used by the Beatles (eg. Strawberry Fields), The Moody Blues, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Genesis and many others, 

They were clunky contraptions that always need a full overhaul and can be a serious pain to deal with these days. The Mellotron M4000D, released in the early 2010s, is a digital instrument that contains original Mellotron and Chamberlin sounds, without the headache. Features polyphonic aftertouch, furniture quality cabinet with hinged lid that's still got enough room on top for your small synth, drum machine, effects or cat. 

We normally deal in vintage synths that require extensive and expensive overhauls to get them up to our high standards, which means high prices. This was not the case with this modern instrument, so this example is very competitively priced. These sell for $3200 new. Trades considered.
