Crumar Spirit

1980s Vintage Crumar Spirit For Sale. Meticulously Refurbished by professionals and now working perfectly.

This Italian-made synthesizer was designed by Bob Moog and Tom Rhea in 1983. There were reportedly as few as 50 and as many as 200 produced. Whatever the real number is, they're a rarity, and even rarer is an opportunity to buy a professionally serviced unit in beautiful shape that works perfectly, like this one. We paid our tech for 15 hours of skilled vintage synth tech time to get this unit up to our high standards. In addition to any repairs, here's what he did to it:

Replaced electrolytic capacitors in power supply as a preventative measure.
Resoldered connectors as a preventative measure.
Replaced IC sockets for VCO PCB (18px2) as a preventative measure.
Removed jack board. Resoldered all solder points as a preventative measure.
Removed, cleaned and lubed and reinstalled slide potentiometers (typically standard servicing but also part of necessary repairs in this case as the faders literally fell apart inside and stopped working - not from use as this unit was hardly used, but due to age!)
Cleaned and lubed all rotary potentiometers (standard servicing).
Cleaned and lubed all rotary switches (standard servicing).
Recalibrated oscillators (standard servicing).
Systematically tested. All tests passed (standard servicing).

This is one of our favorite monosynths. The filters and dual mixer paths are unique and really set it apart from others. We've gotten some great distorted and vocal-like sounds out of it that we haven't been able to make on most other synths.
