Roland Jupiter-4 for sale. Meticulously Refurbished.

This unit was fully overhauled, sparing no expense, a process requiring 26 hours of skilled pro vintage synth tech time. This included future-proofing measures that will hopefully extend its life way beyond others. The value of this labor plus parts is of course factored into its price. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a gorgeous JP-4 that's working perfectly and that should make its next owner very happy.

In addition to repairs, the following work was done, much of it preventative. It's likely I left out some work, but rest assured, we did a thorough job and did not cut corners like other sellers almost always do, as we wanted this jp4 to work perfectly and hopefully outlast lesser examples.

Cleaned unit inside and out.
Checked / reflowed solder joints.
Rebuilt power supply for longevity.
Replaced 40 pin IC socket cv gate board to ensure good connection.
Replaced 40 pinIC socked main PCB to ensure good connection.
Replaced battery (3v lithium)
Cleaned and lubed all pots and switches.
Replaced electrolytic capacitors for longevity.
Replaced trimpots from all 4 VCOs for ease of tuning.
Recalibrated VCOs and filters.
Adjusted envelope balance for all voices.
Installed new power cord.

Don't miss your chance to own this beauty. As of now, this is the only one in stock, so once this one's gone, it could be a long time before we offer another.

This is an excellent analog synth. It's one of the first polyphonic synths and has a similar sound to the Roland System 100 and SH series synths. It has most of the features you'd expect of a polysynth but its overall sound quality is terrific.

Warm, fat vintage sound - unison mode allows stacking of 4 voices per key and sounds huge. Ensemble (chorus) circuit and sweet analog filter. User programmable. Cool arpeggiator w/ random mode. LFO goes to high frequency for FM type sounds. The JP4 is great for pads, basses, noises, leads and all other types of analog sounds. Famous users include: 808 State, Vince Clarke, Depeche Mode, Thomas Dolby, Human League, Brian Kehew and Roger Manning of The Moog Cookbook, Kitaro, Ruediger Lorenz, Masterworks, Meat Beat Manifesto, Neruonium, Gary Numan, Elizabeth Parker of BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Nick Rhodes, Tim Souster, Spoons, Tangerine Dream, Tears for Fears, Tomita, Trans X, St. Etienne, Steve Winwood, Stevie Wonder, Vangelis, Yaz and more.
